House-Sitting

This past week Bob and I watched my Aunt and Uncles house while they went on their 10 year anniversary trip to Cancun.  Bob and I have never watched someones house, so it was a new experience. They live in West Valley so that was an adventure itself, trying to find our way around and then back to the house. The first two days I picked up some extra shifts at work so I wasn't around much. The first day I did have off we were supposed to ride the fun bus to Wendover but Bob hurt his back so bad in the shower that he couldn't even walk really it was terrible-my man is falling apart! So that day we just stayed at home and took advantage of the cable and Netflix. Later that night however he did feel good enough to go to Leatherby's!! I have not been to Leatherby's in years. It was divine!

Monday we went swimming at Kearns Rec Center which was so much fun. That place is huge with so much to offer! It was a little windy at first which made it chilly but eventually we got used to it. I have been really anxious to go swimming so I was very happy when Bob brought up the idea. He used to go to the Kearns pool when he was little so he was so excited to take me.

Tuesday we had to go to my grandparents house because they went to Wendover for their anniversary and needed dog watchers! So we took advantage of being in the area and went to the local shooting range-I love shooting so much and I also love that it is something Bob and I can do together.  

The remainder of the week I had to work so we didn't do much-we did however make it to the food truck roundup again!! It is slowly becoming part of our weekly routine. This time I had one of the best pieces of French Toast ever! Bob got the same thing he got last time except a hotter dose, last time he got a 7 of hotness this time he got a 10. He is brave! He sure loves that Cupbop food truck.

All in all it was a good week house-sitting, we got attached to their dog and miss him everyday but we should have know that would happen. Bob and I are total dog lovers and we may have more dogs then children...maybe! As always, Thanks for Keeping up with the Kanes!

The Good Life

Good things have been happening for the Kanes. First off Bob is doing much better, thank you for all your prayers and comments about his health. We appreciated you all so much! We are still loving our apartment-we will love it more when it stops raining and the pool opens! They added chairs to the pool area so we are thinking it will be open any day now. Speaking of the rain, the other day we decided to brave the storm and go to cold stone, there was so much water on the roads it was ridiculous. I took some pictures but they don't even do it justice. It was so fun to go driving around with Bob, it's our favorite past time.

Last week we were able to snag some tickets to the Payson Temple open house!!! I was thrilled! I thought for sure that we would never get tickets, but thankfully we did. It was our first open house event together and it was awesome! That Temple is beautiful inside and out! It was such a neat experience and I really am so grateful for the opportunity we had to go!

Some other random things we have done lately: Buffalo Wild Wings Thursday-We really used to go a lot but since we moved up north (and the closest one is 20 minutes in either direction) we have cut back. Last Thursday we were feeling the urge so we went and it was delicious! The Thursday before that we went to a Food Truck Roundup in West Valley-I finally got to experience Waffle Love...it was amazing! It was cool to see all the trucks there too, dreams do come true if you work hard enough to get what you want.

I have finally finished How I met your Mother! It was so dang good! I loved that show so much-every episode either made me laugh or cry! Lilypad and Marshmallow are my relationship goals because they were just so good together.  Now I am re-watching Gilmore Girls until season 5 then 6 and 7 will be my first time ever so I am pretty excited for that. I am also excited for Summer to start! I love the summer and everything that comes with it! That's about it for now. as always Thanks for Keeping up with the Kanes!
