Lately life seems to be very busy. Bob and I haven't really had much time for anything besides work and school. To top it off, Bob has been so sick for almost 3 weeks now. At the beginning no one could tell us what was going on with him. We went to the ER, then saw our doctor AND got an MRI and CT scan. At this point we didn't really no what was happening, no one could give us a definite answer. After a second visit with our doctor he narrowed it down to either a really bad virus or pancreatitis. He told us that if it gets any worse we will need to go see a GI specialists. It definitely got worse, so we went to a GI specialist and they recommended that he get scoped from both ends. The PA said that it definitely sounded like an intestinal problem and that the scoping was a really good idea. We went to the scoping earlier this week and they finally found some answers! I am trying to remember exactly what they said but this is the jist of it: They think he has some food allergies, his esophagus has some damage and they think it could be from something he is allergic to. They also found a number of ulcers which could be his allergies and stress too. Lastly they removed a polyp from his colon. At this point I am like crying. The polyp wasn't anything serious now but it could have become cancer. I was so overwhelmed with gratitude for my Heavenly Father and the blessing of finding that polyp when we did. The normal age for a colonoscopy is 50!! He is not even 30 yet, in 20 years that would have definitely been cancer. They gave him some medicine for his ulcers and then sent us on our way. So far he has been doing much much better. The doctors said that the medicine should clear up his ulcers in 2-3 weeks so that was great news. I am so relieved to finally have some answers. My poor husband has been through the ringer but he has been such a champ about everything. We are so blessed to have such great doctors and staff that have been taking care of him. Even thought he has been sick and we have acquired some medical bills we are still blessed. Thankfully we already met our deductible before all this happened so the insurance paid a big chunk already. Plus his is pretty healthy and still able to do everyday tasks and functions. I just love him so much and he makes me more happy than I have ever been and even through trials I can be happy because he is by my side always.
With all this stuff going on we still found the time to move into our new apartment!! We took a day and went down to St George to empty our storage unit and get everything up here. It was a fast trip but we did what we had to do. We got in late Friday night and left Saturday afternoon. I am so grateful that Bob's friends Levi and Corey could come help us otherwise it would have taken a lot longer. We rented a 6' X 12' covered trailer and had no intention of fitting all our unit into it. Low and behold we fit 95%! We left a washer and dry that need to be sold or taken to the dump, some kitchen chairs and our grill. We just could not make them fit and be stable in the truck. We will be going back for those items later this month or next month for sure. We love our new home and I am so glad we were able to get it! It is smaller then what we had before and I have had to get rid of a bunch of stuff. Surprisingly it wasn't very hard to get rid of stuff-I sent two huge boxes to the DI! I was so proud I could tell my hoarding side to shut up. We have two bedrooms and our second bedroom is already full of stuff-I will be cleaning it out during my week off next week!
