1 year Anniversary!

It really is so crazy to think that I have been Mrs Kane for a whole year! I have loved my first year with Bob and really can't wait for year two! Honestly, it  feels like we have been together for longer than a year! I can't imagine life before Bob and I also can't imagine life without Bob. I never knew that I could love someone this much, or miss someone so much when I am not around them. This first year has taught me so much about myself and so much about being a wife. Before being married I only had to take care of one person and now I get to love and take care of another. Sometimes that's hard, it's hard to be selfless when I really would rather be selfish. Being a wife is so rewarding but also challenging at times. I am so hard on myself when it comes to being a wife-I want to be the perfect wife. Even though Bob always tells me I am there are times when I don't feel like that. I am always working on myself and trying to be the best wife I can be! I hope that throughout this next year I will serve him more. This last year I never really looked at ways that I could help him without him asking. I have loved looking at ideas from Pinterest. Recently I have been warming up his towel before he gets out of  the shower! He loves it! It's a simple way to show him I love him but yet it means to much to him. How do you serve your husband? I am always up for new ideas!

For our anniversary this year we had to be creative. Unfortunately our Anniversary fell during my 7 on, I requested the Saturday before our Anniversary off but that was all. We planned on going to Phoenix during my week off but Bob couldn't get the time off. We thought about staying in a hotel but what was the point if I had to be back to work Sunday night? So here's what we did, we had some friends that came up from St George and they wanted to go to Lagoon! So that's what we did, Saturday we went to Lagoon!! It was seriously so fun! I love Lagoon and I haven't been in years. It was also great to hang out with some friends that we haven't seen in a while. So we did that until the parked closed at 7, then Bob and I went out separate ways.  We went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse then came home relaxed. We were both so warn out-I worked the night before and all that walking just kills! It was such a great day though and we can't wait to go to Lagoon a lot more this year!

Sunday was our actual Anniversary, we got up and had breakfast with our St George friends before they left. The rest of the day we just hung out. We both wanted to see a movie so we went to see The Longest Ride! It was so good! Bob is such a champ when it comes to seeing chick flicks and I love him! We then went to dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant Lorenas! It was such a great Anniversary! I loved just being able to spend time with Bob! For presents this year we went big! I bought him a Glock 26 gen 4, and he bought me this beautiful necklace that I love so much!!

Life since our Anniversary has been great! No complains here! As always, Thanks for keeping up with the Kanes!

April Showers

When I say April showers I don't mean in the form of rain (although it did rain for a couple of days). What I mean is a shower of emotion. I have felt every emotion imaginable the last couple of weeks.

The month started out with horrible, I was at work and got a phone call at 430 in the morning. I knew something was wrong because Bob was up way to early to be calling. He proceeded to tell my that my sweet grandma fell out of bed and had a stoke, they called 9-11 and she was on her way to the hospital. I started crying-like full on ugly girl, can't breathe crying. I still have both my grandparents and 1 grandma alive. I have never had to deal with something like this. I was so upset! I called my mom to let her know and then I had to finish my shift before I could go to the hospital. I was a mess but my sweet husband was with them the entire time and kept me very updated. To make a long two days short she is fine! She is the quickest stroke recovery victim ever, everyone who sees her is so impressed. She was only in the hospital a day and a half and she is basically back to normal. She has home visits and physical therapy but she is great! 

The weekend brought a much happier emotion, we started the weekend with our Anniversary photo shoot. I was so stressed about it and at the time I didn't even know why we were doing it. Too much stress in the outfits, hair, and location. Thankfully it all worked out. I have a feeling they turned out so good! It gives me encouragement to do them again.  Also, my sister and her cute family came up to visit! I love when we get to see them, this visit we went to a hockey game! My mom planned the whole thing and she did a great job. It was so fun to be altogether for a night and just have some fun. It was a pretty good game too-we won and even saw some punches here and there!

On Easter we just spent the whole day with family! The Merrills left to go home which was sad but we will be seeing them again soon.  I owe so much to my Heavenly Father and his Son, without them I wouldn't have the great family that I do and I definitely wouldn't be with them forever!

On Monday and Tuesday I went to Temple Square, Monday it was with my mom. We went to the Relief Society building and looked at all the Young Women things they have. They have so many great camp, personal progress, and activity ideas it's insane. We were there for almost 2 hours and left with many great ideas. It was so fun to spend the morning with my mom I just love her. On Tuesday I went with our Young Men and Young Women to tour the conference center! Let me just say AMAZING! It was an amazing tour! I had no idea what that building had inside it! Or on top of it, the roof was my favorite part and had so much to offer! I highly recommend that everyone goes and gets a tour.

The Conference center holds 21,000 people at one time! 

Bob and I have been wanting to get a new place to live for a couple of months now and last Friday we put in an application to a complex we really like and apparently they like us too because we got in!!! It won't be ready until May 1st but that is fine with us! It is in North Salt Lake, two beds one bath, newly remodeled and upgraded. It has a pool and an indoor hot tub! We can't wait!

We also just celebrated our one year anniversary! Yahoo for 1 year! I will do a separate post for that so keep your eyes peeled for that! As always, Thanks for keeping up with the Kanes!
